Poor Horatio the rooster... he is such a bumbler! He can never seem to do anything right! His hen-wife Hannah is always picking on him. She means well, but she gets so frustrated with him sometimes.
Horatio lets Hannah boss him around; she continues to pick on him and his self-esteem keeps getting lower and lower. When he crows in the morning, no one even wakes up!
Meanwhile, the Grandpa Tree tries to help Horatio with his self-image, encouraging him to "stand up straight", lift his head up and to have confidence in his actions and decisions. When Horatio finally puffs out his chest and crows "cock-a-doodle-doo", his wife Hannah is very impressed!
