Bizzy Buddies - Pleasant Facade Estates Vuja Day
SCENE 1
INT. HOUSE - AFTERNOON

Welcome to Leekville, Allium County... the "Leek Growing Capital of the World"!

The largest landowners in the county, the Tuckus Family, goes back generations... with fortunes made and lost and gambled away and squandered away...dwindled, chipped and pissed away .

The family matriarch, Ma Tuckus, is considered to be the grand doyenne of so-called "polite society". She has three adult children (who still act like children). Two of them are fraternal twins Tommy and Troy. Different as night and day, they totally despise one another.

When the Tuckus twins inherit the family farm, Troy works his share in earnest as a struggling farmer. Tommy sells his half of the farm to land developers and makes LOTS of money!

A humorous exploration of the universal themes of self-loathing and greed. a veritable melange , a "social soup" of human attributes, foibles and proclivities... a melage, melange. A farming county/community being encroached upon by urban life. Everything is changing...

Welcome to Allium County, a farming community being encroached upon by urban life. Is it Leekville or Leek Ville This is the town of Leekville... a veritable "social soup"

A humorous exploration of the universal themes of self-loathing and greed. a veritable "social soup" of human attributes, foibles and proclivities... a melage, melange. A farming county/community being encroached upon by urban life. The crux of it all is the Tuckus family feud. The saga of fraternal twin brothers who hate each other...passionately! Fraternal twin brothers Tommy and Troy, who are as different as night and day, inherit the family farm. Troy honors the land by following in the family tradition of farmers. Tommy sells his half of the farm to a land developer who immediately plows down the fields and puts up a McMansion housing development called Pleasant Facade Estates. Tommy buys the biggest house on the highest hill... spitefully overlooking the property line where his brother's farm is.\par

Life in Leekville: A philosophical, poignant (and sometimes repugnant) view of the world as seen from a Leekville-ite's eyes.

LEEKVILLE Leekville is in the news, which stimulates the economy, and after Pleasant Facade Estates are built, then Bizzyland with the zoo and rides. Bizzyland with the Fairy Shooting Gallery. There is Ma Tuckus' house, the cemetery, the church, downtown, the mall, the hospital, the school

Being "encroached" like plants invading your space. It's also a metaphor for the suburban way of life encroaching upon the farmlands... like invading plants. Speaking of invading plants... there's The Power Plant!

Pleasant Facade Estates : a hoity-toity enclave McMansion-filled housing development in the town of Leekville, built on half the farm owned by the long-time Tuckus family now owned by the battling twin brothers, Tommy and Troy.

PLEASANT FACADE ESTATES behind a foreboding iron gate. the gate to the subdivision malfunctions frequently community pool ----------------------
\par birthdays for Tommy and Troy: a feud started years ago where Tommy gave Troy a tie for his birthday and Troy was incensed by it, feeling it was condescending, and for Christmas he gave it back to Tommy. For their next birthday Tommy gave it to Troy... and on it went for years\par \par
The saga centers on two brothers, fraternal twins, who despise each other. Different as night and day. The Town Mouse and the Country Mouse/Country Mouse and the City Mouse. Troy stays on the farm, and is bitter because he feels he has made alot of personal sacrifices to stay and keep the farm running. Tommy leaves town after his wife dies, leaving 3 year old Barley in Troy and Jane's care. He late r returns with a new wife and step-daughter (who's a year and a half older than Barley) and he SELLS his portion of the land to LAND DEVELOPERS who promptly rolls in with bulldozers and dig up the earth and put a huge subdivision of McMansions (behind a menacing gate) There are fights in court about sewage placement and water rights

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ where one dysfunctional generation is raising the next dysfunctional generation. And at the eye of that storm swirls around the two Tuckus brothers - fraternal twins who are as different as night and day. The town mouse and the country mouse. The only thing they have in common is that they each despise one another/the other one./one another+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ -------------------------------------------

is Ma Tuckus, who is running a covert cat house... a bed & breakfast for cats called "Tuckus Inn". It's zoned for business for humans, and if it's a cat house it is zoned as agricultural. And her place is not zoned for livestock agriculture. .. Ma Tuckus is continually/always threatening to re-write her will, leaving her sizeable assets (ie/fortune) to her cat Pierre. Her three kids: fraternal twins Tommy and Troy, and sibling Terri (formerly Terry). The region/world is plagued by "Ovis Syndrome": it renders sufferers with symptoms like unexplicable curling of the hair and "baaing" like a sheep. The only remedy comes from an innoculation made from the urine of sheep that eat leeks! Farmers in Leekville with sheep that eat leeks are in for a potential fortune/windfall! The two battling fraternal twin brothers are running against each other in the Allium County election.

TOMMY: (off camera)
(bellowing)
Hear ye! Hear ye!
The meeting is about
to commence!

BOARD MEMBER 2:

Pan out to reveal that everyone has already long-left the table. -------------- thw hoity toity housing enclave with the home owners association Tommy wants a street in PFE named after him. Big discussion if it should be "street" or "drive" or "court" or "lane" TOMMY: "Court"...hmmm I like the sound of that, like the king's court OTHER: (smirking) Or like LEGAL court.. TOMMY: (gulping) I'll take Drive the decision about the naming of the streets... there is a petition to change the name of the street "Tuckus Trail". People are complaining that they are giggled at whenever they have to give out their address. Tommy is highly insulted. That's a good, strong German name. Tommy storms into the room, bug-eyed with rage!

TOMMY: (off camera)

Leaza impatiently grabs the multi-colored bottle, and ends up mixing the colors together into a khaki-colored goo

Littler screams out as Tammy grabs the bottle and the colors all mix together

LEAZA:
(shuddering
in disgust)
This isn't rainbow
colored... this is a
yucky color!

(Ma pretends she has a "hearing problem" and that allows her to overhear all kinds of things (her hearing is as sharp as a hawk) Three sons: fraternal twins Tommy & Troy; son Tony/Terry who later becomes "Tony" . Tony was an attorney and Toni became a doctor. Toni/Tony lives in the city, Tommy in the suburb, Troy in the country. And there are horses, cows and sheep... and the smell and the flies! The cows are always jumping the fence/escaping into Tommy's yard and eating his expensive sod lawn.\par \par Tommy's teenage son is so much more like his Uncle Troy than he is like his own father. And Troy has a teenage son and the same dilema too... his son is so much more like his Uncle Tommy than he is like his own father.\par

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Jane is plain. Tammy is catty behind her back. But then Jane saves Littler's life! After than, Tammy is indebted to Jane and is in touch with her, even though the husbands don't talk to each other.

THE NEAR DROWNING OF LITTLER: When Littler was littler she fell in the pool/pond and almost drowned. Aunt Jane, who had recently felt compelled to enroll in the CPR classes at the local Y, saved Littler's life. Tammy is forever grateful and will never be angry with Jane for anything. TAMMY: Oh my God, you saved my baby's life! Jane bashfully stands there. TAMMY: Oh my God, what can I do for you? Can I pay you? (continuing) TAMMY: A shopping spree.
